Herefordshire reps report January 21^st 2007

1) Had problem with traffic lights on one road into Hereford not changing to green for motorcycles. This was because the sensors would not pick up motorcycles. I have written to highways department of the council to explain the problem. Within few days I had reply from highways engineer to inform me that they will go out to said traffic light and increase the sensitivity of the light. This has fixed the problem.

2) Been in contact with Nigel Sweet about holding BMF meets at Walwyn Arms from April 2007. This has been arranged.

3) My club Leominster Classic Motorcycle Club are considering leaving BMF and moving to MAG. This decision will be made at February committee meeting. Only one committee member has strong views about moving to MAG. Unfortunately the one member is the club President. Hoping to persuade the rest to stay with BMF. It will go to the vote.
