And Did You Know?
A few notes on things about biking in the Midlands that you may not have known before - got anything you think should be on here? let us know!
- Did you know that the two bus lane trials in Derby (Nottingham Road and Uttoxeter Road) are about to be extended to a full three year trial? Other new bus lanes in the City will be considered for bike usage.
- There is now motorcycle parking in Allenton in Derby in the new parking area outside Bestwicks - complete with ground anchors - another one will appear soon when the new parking outside the TSB opens.
- You can now use you're bike in bus lanes in Sheffield (yes, I know, not strictly Region 3 but a lot of R3 members travel to Sheffield)

The Swedes have Vision Zero - the aim of which is, by engineering, vehicle construction and traffic separation, to get to a position where there are zero deaths on the road - achieved through total control of road users and their environment.
